Compliance Chief Duties: 

Note: the job description has the nuts and bolts of the job.  I thought it might be useful to have a quick "check-off" guide for the next compliance chief by month. You can look for the month to make sure everything is getting done.

July

• One of your first duties is the HCMC swap.  You must contact marc martel at HCMC and contact all the residents in our program to see who wants to swap.  This must be done quickly as it is complicated and needs time.  Pay particular attention to rotation swap dates (ours and HCMC are not the same) and schedule shifts accordingly in conjunction with the scheduling chief.  You should forward on to the HCMC residents who are swapping the "airway primer" and welcome email.  You will orient each resident from HCMC prior to their orientation to include a airway practice session, review of meds, tour of department. Coordinate orientation with Lori.

• You and the other chiefs should sit down with all the residents and outline their (and your) priorities for your chief year.
