  • One of your first duties is the HCMC swap. Contact Rich Gray (Residency Director) or HCMC chief resident and contact all the residents in our program to see who wants to swap.  This must be done early on in May or June as the swap is complicated and needs time to work out.  Pay particular attention to rotation swap dates (ours and HCMC may not be the same) and schedule shifts accordingly in conjunction with the scheduling chief. No swap in May (or during SAEM) You should forward on to the HCMC residents who are swapping the "airway primer" and welcome email.  You will orient each resident from HCMC prior to their orientation to include a airway practice session, review of meds, tour of department. Coordinate orientation with Lori.
  • You and the other chiefs should sit down with all the residents and outline their (and your) priorities for your chief year.
  • Delegate (or do yourself) the responsibility for Wild and Vikings Game scheduling. Contact people for the Wild is Rob LeFevere and the VIkings is Cullen.
  • Compliance: remind residents to complete duty hours entries in NI by the 5th of the month for the previous month.
